The latest security measures are being determined by the Italian authorities, ahead of the G20 international meeting to be held in Rome next weekend.
As it became known, the meeting will take place in the Eur district, outside the center of the “eternal city”. As part of the draconian measures, an inaccessible “red” zone of ten square kilometers will be created.
The main objective is to avoid violent protests by the challengers, after the disasters that occurred in the Italian capital on October 9, due to the intrusion of the neo-fascists in the anti-vaccine mobilization. At the same time, the airspace over the area of the international meeting will be closed and a special mechanism will be activated to detect and destroy any suspicious drones.
Starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 28, specially trained and pyrotechnic dogs from the Carabinieri will search the entire Eur zone. Finally, for the protection of a total of 20 international delegations, in addition to the Police, the Carabinieri and of course the secret services of the country, hundreds of Italian Army men are also expected to be active.
